Hey guys! Though I would share with you all one of my favourite banana bread/cake recipe which I literally made so many times that I basically know the recipe all too well! Even after making… More
Here are some pics from my recent getaway trip to Batam, Indonesia. I was in desperate need of a getaway trip after the first semester of poly which was literally driving me insane to the point that I was looking flight ticket prices during my exam study period, which is not the best thing to do haha.
So my mum surprised us with the beautiful weekend getaway trip with my family. We stayed at the Montigo Resorts in Nongas, Batam, Indonesia. We went there for 3 Days and 2 Nights and stayed in a enormous villa which had 4 levels including the terrace. Which had a breathtaking view of the sea.
On the first day, we went to town to do a bit of shopping and I decided to get a few local snacks that I have never seen before to try some out during out stay.
We opted for their breakfast buffet . Mainly cause breakfast is literally my favourite meal of the day and who doesn’t love a good breakfast to start the day off!
On the last nigh in batam, we headed to the beach club house for dinner. The resort was not particularly know for its great food options but I feel that the food at club house was actually pretty good.
I really enjoyed myself, it was the perfect little weekend getaway with my family. I hope I can go on more such spontaneous trips and she my adventures with you guys!
Where is your dream weekend getaway trip to? ✈️
I always prefer to head down to the mall to shop but I do not alway have the time. And this kinda resorts to me shopping online to get my retail therapy fix like every other girl out there. So here are some of my favourite online website to shop from.
Most popular website to shop from and you can find things from Topshop, River Island, Boohoo and many more. It is based in the UK, so shipping takes about 4 weeks and shipping fee mostly vary on the total amount of things you purchase.
Great website to get really cheap tops, dresses, shoes, bags, accessories and etc. The shipping and agent fee may be vary depending on the amount of thing you purchase. Parcel at times takes about 2-4 weeks to arrive (depending on where your purchases are coming from eg: china, taiwan, USA and etc)
Shopee is where you website to find great steals, discounts and offers. Delivery fee can vary and packages take about 1-4 weeks to arrive (1 week if its from somewhere in Singapore and 4 weeks if it’s coming from overseas)
The Hunt: https://www.thehunt.com
The hunt is a friendly community that help you to find particular items they you my have seen somewhere but do not know where to buy it from. It is not really a site to shop at but it gives you links to the websites for the particular items you are interested in.
Zalora is like a Singapore version of Asos. It holds brands such as Factorie, Warehouse, Nike and many more. Delivery fee depends on how much you purchase and if its more than $40 delivery if free and mostly takes about a week.

I was clearing out my bag the other day and thought I would share with you guys what’s usually in my bag. I’m currently studying in poly and I’m really thankful that for the course that I’m taking I don’t really have to carry any book and most of my school work is done on my trusty macbook. Thus, this is what I mostly have in my everyday bag, even if I’m in school or not.
- My wallet (Mango)
- Portable charger (Xiaomi)
- iPhone cable
- A bottle of Water
- And my little black pouch ↓↓↓ (Elite)
These are the thing in my little black pouch…
- Lipstick (of the day)
- Makeup (To touchup through the day – foundation & eyebrow gel)
- Lipstick (always kept in my bag)
- Lip blam
- Hair ties
- Bobby pins
- Hair brush
- Mini perfume
- Mini hand cream
- Eye drops
- iPhone earpiece
- Thumb drive (For school work)
- Tampax (and other lady things hehe)
I find that my little black pouch is really help to keep your bag really organised and makes it easier to find all those little things that always get lost in depths of your bag. It certainly makes it easier for me when I change my bag as I can just grab that pouch and not have to look for all those things!
DO YOU HAVE A FAV GO-TO BAG?
This is a new thing that I want to start doing on my blog, where after every few months I would do a ‘Life Update’. So that you guys know what going on in my life. And also mainly a place for myself, where I can look back after a few year and see what was going on in my life then (like a diary; (disclaimer!)I would be talking a bit more about God in these posts). I hope you’ll enjoy reading!
A lot has happened in the past few months, from starting poly to meeting many new people to becoming one year older; a lot of crazy adventure…
Sadly I didn’t really have time to update my blog. And somehow felt the pressure that whatever I want to post is not good enough and eventually found myself not posting anything for a few months straight.
Firstly, school. Ohh my, where do I even start. Okay, I’ve just started my first year in TP and it is kind of shocking even thought I felt like I had well prepared myself for poly life. Staying up way later then expected to complete assignments, long days in school, endless work load and the list literally goes on! But enough about the negatives, I’m really enjoying poly life despite everything. I’m glad to be surrounded by friends in school that are really good and make school feel like home at times haha. Really thankful for the people around me, always motivating and encouraging me to press on, for accepting me for me and teaching me to love myself even more every single day.
Secondly, I’ve recently been to Malaysia for my church camp during June. It was AMAZING!!! I really felt like it was something really necessary for me to attend despite all the pilling school work I had. Even though I was busy during camp, serving here and there. It was a great break from everyday life and especially a ‘recharge’ for my walk with God. During the camp, I felt God giving me a new direction for the next chapter of my life; I should learn to trust him in all areas of my life and learn to surrender everything into his hands.
I immediately put this new directing of my life into action. I was really hard at first but overtime I realised I was able to feel much lighter, as the burden of my school work was just lifted as I surrender it to God. I realised that I was not so overwhelmed by everything that was going on around me and was able to breath.
Of course not everything was all sunshine and rainbow everyday, I still had day where i felt like poop, its life so…haha Just have to press on through day like those!
Lastly, I am currently on my second last week of my very first semester in Poly. Even though exams (only two papers YAY!!) are near it feels like my holidays have already started. I’ve just got to push through the next two week!! I need to start study soon, so I’m gonna end this ‘Life Update’ here…
I have seen bloggers, beauty gurus and many other people rave about the Seche Vite dry fast top coat. Being curious, I decide to give it a try and see for myself if it’s really that great a product as what I have heard.
Despite being such raved about product, I still had some difficulty finding it in stores, it might just be me but I eventually order it online. It was a reasonable price, unlike other dry fast top coats out there in the market that I have tried.
The day it arrived I was SUPER excited to try it out and finally understand why people were so in love with this product. I tried it on and within seconds it was dry! (Probably less than 30 seconds even) .It had an amazing finish, almost gel-ish! Basically, my nails looked stunnig haha.
I got quite a few compliments on my nails! Some of my friends actually thought that I had gone out to do my nails. (As I always ruin my nails whenever I paint then at home cause they take forever to dry)
However, it does have it’s down sides, it tends to chip a bit more faster compared to my other top coats. I tried to leave it on for as long as I could until they started chipping, which was roughly a week. But as for someone like myself who very often changes my nail colour it is a great product.
But overall I still like this product as after purchasing it, I realised that I started to put in more effort to do my nails (in the way that they look). And I have stared painting my nails more often at home (helps to save a lot of money compared to manis outside)!
Just putting this out there first, this is not sponsored, but I wish it would be!
I have been trying to find a great foundation for my skin for a very long time and it was literally driving me INSANE! Going for shop to shop, trying to find a foundation that looks good on me. I have combination skin, so I had to find a foundation that doesn’t make my face look too dry or too oily.
But, I finally managed to find a great power foundation! The MAC Lightful Power Foundation. I feel it is a great foundation for combination skin, it does not make face feel dry or look oily throughout the day. Another reason I love this power foundation is that it is build able and does not look too cakey when you build it up, unlike other foundations out there that I have tried. This power foundation gives a very natural finish, which is always a plus! It is also great as you do not have to really have to moisturising your face before applying it, so its perfect for lazy people like me haha.
I would recommend this power foundation to anyone who has combination skin. It is a bit pricey, a total of $85 for both the case ($67) and the refill ($18)
